Early in 2015, Brontobytes will start collecting EU VAT from EU non-business buyers, in accordance with changes to the EU VAT telecommunications, broadcasting and electronic service rules (see official announcement) based on the rate in their country of residence to the list price of the item(s) at time of purchase.
To prepare for this, starting today, we will be asking all clients to confirm that the country we have on record is their correct country of residence for tax and legal purposes. Following confirmation of country of residence, EU-based users will have the option to provide their EU VAT number.
