Cookie Bar [Free WordPress Plugin]

A simple, lightweight WordPress plugin for displaying a discreet notification bar that is dismissable and dismiss is saved by cookie. Perfect for implementing the new eu cookie law!

The Cookie Bar WordPress Plugin creates a small bar at the bottom of the website with a short customizable message about cookies and accept button. Once a visitor has accept the Cookie Bar, then disappears.

    At this time, you cannot control where this is shown. We have 2 expiration options on the settings page and that’s all we offer for now.

    Hi Sandro,

    Sorry that we haven’t yet added that option, but you can add this CSS code to your child theme or to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS:
    #eu-cookie-bar {
    background-color: #2e363f;
    }

    Change “2e363f” to your own colour.

Hello, have just found the solution to place it at the top. Just add Additional CSS with the following lines;

#eu-cookie-bar
{
position: fixed;
top: 0;
height: 50px;
font-size: 15px;
padding: 10px;
}

Hi the plugin is great, but how long is the Cookie time? So for an next update you can add a field for “Cookie alive” or some Thing else!

    This is an one-time notice. If the visitor click “accept”, the notice will disappear forever.

If the user does not accepts it will the cookies set? if he accepts the cookie bar the cookies will set? What cookies will be set?

    The purpose of plugins as “Cookie Bar” is to notify the visitors that you are using cookies. Your cookies are set in any case. The plugin does not control how the cookies are set.
