I’ve installed the plugin and I see the widget on my site but not sure if it’s working. Not sure how to do this ” go to the Facebook Messenger page. Add your Facebook Page.”. I have a FB page, not sure how I add this to messenger.

    Make sure you have the latest version installed and then visit WP Admin > Settings > FB Messenger to add your Facebook page

      Great, those instructions are good, the instructions on the WP messenger plugin page “view details” (Activate the plugin and go to the Facebook Messenger page. Add your Facebook Page. That’s all!) are a bit vague.

How can I change the image size?

    You will have to resize the image to the desired dimension before uploading it. Module is configured to displaying the actual image size.

      The image size is 70 x 150px, but it is show 55 x 55px.
      It does not seem to display the correct size

        You should be using an outdated version. Latest version is showing the actual image size.

    You can select option “Hide the Chat button” and call the chat modal with a link href=”#fb-messenger” from your own class.

    I don’t believe there is a way for that. Even if we found a way, those apps are constantly updated so they will patch it in their next update, since the facebook chat form is loaded in a modal window.

    1. Download Facebook Messenger: https://www.brontobytes.com/go/fb-messenger
    2. Visit wp-admin > Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin and selected the file you downloaded
    3. Activate the plugin and visit Setting > FB Messenger to add your Facebook Page

I have installed and added my page in settings, but messenger button on my site is not working. When i press on messenger button a blank white tab is showing.

GREAT PLUGIN! Is it possible to change the order of the tabs so that Timeline displays first and Messages is the secondary tab?

2nd question is – can the size of the modal be increased with CSS? I was able to change the .remodal background but not the actual facebook contents.

    1. Tabs are delivered directly from Facebook and, unfortunately, are not controllable.
    2. You can modify modal’s size but this is not recommended as plugin updates will overriding your modifications.

    Sorry do not consider my comment because i fix it! But i have another question. In the Settings it say that ” You can also call the chat modal with a text link: Chat Now ” but how and where i can do it?

      You can insert anywhere you want (menu, post, page, comment) a text or image link that will initiate the facebook chat modal.

      ps. Check the link you just inserted in your previous comment.

Having an issue with logging in through the plugin. It tells me to log in to continue, but I’m already logged in and it doesn’t work. I’ve cleared my computers cache and it still persists. I need help.

    “Logging” is handled by Facebook anyhow, we can’t interfere on that.

    If you are facing this issue on your smartphone, make sure you are logged in to facebook from the mobile’s browser as well, not just from Facebook App.

    At this point, to make that change, you need to modify plugin’s /css/style.css and replace “top: 30%;” (at line 6 and 17) with whatever value suits you.

        Make sure you clear your wordpress and browser’s cache.
        There is also a typo at: margin-top: -25px; /* -(image_height/2) */
        * is missing.

    Facebook messaging platform is only available to Pages (No profiles, no groups) and can be enabled be visiting the following link https://www.facebook.com/YOUR_PAGE_NAME/settings/?tab=settings&section=messages&view

    Make sure you clear your browser’s and server’s cache. Please note that FB messenger app is only available for Facebook pages. It is not working on groups and profiles.

I like this plugin very much and especially the fact that you can show the timelines and event tab as well. What I would like to ask is if it would possible add an upload button as well if somenone wants to sent a file.

Hi there,
I found that in the settings for my business page that I had inadvertently set restrictions to which countries my page was visible to. Removing these restrictions enabled the plugin to work correctly. Hope this helps anyone.
